Over the least 5 yr that i have know of if not longer Brain has been using Pennine taxis to get him backwards an forwards to work even it meant waiting for a while. Over the last few months Brain was getting more an more poorly . On tuesday 3rd July when Brain was dropped of we were told he was looking really really poorly . I came in to work on 4th July an John Chandler radio me to say he couldn't get hold of Brain . This was like he cause he would ring either the office to make sure he was on time or ring John but nothing . Nobody had seen him he wasn't at his gate having his normal smoke . I tried ring his home phone still nothing being worried i rang the police to see if they could help. 10.30 i put the phone down thinking to myself you wolly he's at the doctors or something . John called an asked if i'd heard from Brian i'd said no but i'd phoned the police an asked if the could help an maybe take a look up there. 11.15am my moblie rang with a withheld number so i answered it . They said that they were the police from Brighouse and said that it was bad new Brian had past away in his sleep and did i know if he had any family an the answer to that no he never spoke of any family . All of pennine staff that knew Brain feel that they have lots a true friend . It didn't matter what Brian was suffering it he always had a laugh on the phone with .
